the daughter of the late Paul and Hattie (Dreffs) Grabowski. She married Elmer E. Mielke March 3, 1929; he predeceased her December 19, 1968. She had been employed by Lufkin Rule for several years. Surviving are one son and two daughters, Chester Mielke and Jane Papp, both of Illinois; Ruth Gulliver (Robert Williams and his family), Saginaw; eight grandchildren, Pamela Streiter, Terri (William) Bergmann, Margaret Arnold, Betty Jo Ray (James Kieffer), Kimberly (Denny) Peterson, Jill (Frank) Feher, Wesley Gulliver and Gregory (Madhana) Gulliver; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Andrew Grabowski, Helen Krugielka, Virginia Krugielka and Rose Erndt; many nieces, nephews and their families; her special caregivers and girlfriends, DeLia Gonzalez and Ruth Ann Perez. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by seven brothers and four sisters, Theodore, Tommy, John, Joseph, Stanley, Edward and Carl Grabowski, Josephine Sowulewski, Florence Best, Isabelle Pepin and Angeline Salgat.
