"Funeral services for Grace L. Bjork (nee Bremer), 89, former 27 year resident of Lombard, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at First United Methodist (Forest and Duane), Glen Ellyn, with the Rev. Thomas J. Potenza officiating. Born July 16, 1914, in Glen Ellyn, she died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn. Grace was a homemaker, hairdresser and co owner of Glenbard Gardens of Lombard. She graduated from Glenbard High School class of 1932 and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn. Grace was an avid bingo player and sports fan, who enjoyed her family and cooking. She is survived by her children Gerald (Carmen) of San Diego, Calif., Helen (Hugh) Henry of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Peggy (Greg) Johnson of Sugar Grove, Ill., William (Kathleen) Kellering, Ohio and the late Donald and Runee; her daughters-in-law, Lyn Bjork of Glen Ellyn and Gunnel Bjork of Sweden; her 15 grandchildren; her 18 great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Emiline Witt of Redlands, Calif. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf "Edward" Bjork. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., 565 Duane St., Glenn Ellyn.
