Died.
Mrs. Barbara Vollmer, aged 67 years, wife of Simon Vollmer, died at her home about three miles northeast of Stillwater last Friday after a short illness with eresypiles.
The funeral service was held at their home on Sunday morning, conducted by Rev. Snider, after which the remains were taken to the FairLawn cemetery, followed by a large crowd of friends who mourned the loss of a dear friend and other from the community.
Mrs. Vollmer was born in Germany in the year 1836, was the mother of five children, one girl and four boys, all of whom survive here, only one of them, however, S.P. Vollmer, Jr., was here at the time of her deceased. "Grandma" Vollmer was loved by all who knew her, was ever ready to respond to any deed of kindness in her power to perform. A kind and faithful wife, a loving mother, a devoted Christian. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved family in their dire afflictions.
