J.W. Patterson Dead.
This morning at 4:30 o'clock at his home near Salt Creek in the Osage Indian reservation, occurred the death of J.W. Patterson. The deceased was sixty eight years of age and his death was caused by a general wearing out of his system. Mr. Patterson leaves a wife, two sons and several step children to mourn his death. The deceased was well known in Arkansas City, he having been an early settler in this locality. He removed from here however some eighteen years ago and since that time resided in Oklahoma. Mr. Patterson's remains will be brought to the city overland tomorrow and interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
