Margaret Marie Burriss, 94, of Lakeport, died Feb. 6, 1993 at Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport. She was born September 27, 1898. A native of Hydesville, California. She was a resident of Lake County for 89 years.
Mrs. Burriss was a homemaker for 47 years. She was a member of the Scotts Valley Women's Club and the Christian Science Church in Lakeport. Her husband, Lewis Burriss and Clyde Burriss were the original members of the Scotts Valley Fruit Exchange.
Mrs. Burriss was preceded in death by her daughter, Elva Knight. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta Ussery and Adele Grothe, both of Lakeport; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today Feb. 9, 1993 at Jones Mortuary in Lakeport to be officiated by the Christian Science Church in Lakeport. Mrs. Burriss will be cremated at Lake County Memorial Crematory followed by burial at Hartley Cemetery in Lakeport. Memorial donations may be made to: Scotts Valley Women's Club, 1402 Scotts Valley Road. Lakeport, Calif. 95453.
Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Mortuary in Lakeport.
