Thelma Fern Kruger, 88, formerly of Sheridan, died at 2:45 p.m. April 23, 2006, in Harbour Manor Care Center, Noblesville, where she had lived six years.

Mrs. Kruger was a homemaker and child care provider until 1981. She lived in Wisconsin several years and Chicago. In 1984, she returned to Sheridan, where she lived most of her life.

She was a member of Kirklin Assembly of God Church.

She was born February 25, 1918, in Clinton County to William Irvin and Hazel Fisher Alexander. She married Vern Kruger in Chicago on Jan. 25, 1972, and he died in 1990.

Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Herschel (Virginia) Lewis of Lebanon, Barbara Jean Chillo of Houston, Texas, Phyllis Mace of Sheridan, and Mrs. Sib (Louella) Sampson and Martha Hudler, both of Noblesville; and four brothers, Don Alexander of Noblesville, Robert Alexander of Kingman, Roy Alexander of Sheridan and Rev. Larry Alexander of Greenwood.

Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kirklin Assembly of God with Jeremy Turner officiating. Calling will begin at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
