Mr. Lonnie Brooks, 54, died in a Milledgeville hospital last Sunday after a brief illness. He had many friends in Hancock County who regretted to learn of his death.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Knowles Chapel, at 11 o'clock with the Rev. Charles Pattisal officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hollis Miller. Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
Patterson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Maggie Brooks, of Milledgeville. Four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Bagwell, Mrs. Johnnie Batchelor, Mrs. Edith Kitchens, all of Milledgeville; Mrs. Janie Marshall of Rome, Ga. Four brothers, Matthew Brooks, of Credo, W. Va., Hubert Brooks, Toledo, Ohio, Lindsey Brooks of Columbia, S.C., and Walter Brooks of Gray, Ga. A number of nieces and nephews.
