Was the son of David and Sylvaneous "Sylvia" Adkins. Married Cynthia Ann Lovejoy in 1842 and had 4 children, Martin, Elliott, Julia Ann "Juliann", and Sarah L. After she died in 1860, he married Mary Susan Egnor in 1862. He was nearly killed during the Civil War. He and his brother, John and John's son Andrew were attacked by horse thieves and Goldsberry was shot in the neck. The bullet was never removed.Single Stone-
