Rest in peace, from the descendant of Library of Congress Chief of Music Cataloging, Hazel Bartlett. Photo pictured here is the fine library in Anaconda, MT where Hazel learned her love of books.

Thank you for your sensible classification system, which revolutionized the storage of library materials, and which we're still using 130 years later!

With computers and all, I miss searching for call numbers in the card catologe. It is something that my children will never get to experience. Thank you your hard work.

I was a county librarian for almost 10 years. It was my life, my dream job. Then I had to resign from my job for health reasons, and it rocked my world. But let me tell you, you can take the girl out of the library, but you can never take the library out of the girl. I know your wonderful system by heart. Oh, how you changed the world of books and made it a lot less confusing to find non-fiction. I can't believe that more people have not thanked you because school libraries could not operate right without you. I appriciate what you have done and I LOVE YOU FOR IT!!
I hope to meet you in Heaven someday. Love from your biggest fan,
