Marlow: Luel Fredrick Mangum, 83, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Duncan, OK.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Marlow Cemetery with Robert Mangum officiating. Services will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK.

Luel was born Tuesday, July 31, 1928 in Marlow, OK, to Johnnie E Mangum and Maggie (Sanders) Mangum . Luel lived in Marlow for the past two and a half years. He moved to Marlow from Eufaula. Luel loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and working with his plants. Luel always loved to tell jokes, even if you had already heard it. He enjoyed working on cars and getting them in running condition. He owned and operated a car dealership for several years.

Survivors include, son, Robert Luel Mangum and wife Mary of Eufaula, two daughters, Teresa Cross and husband Phillip of Tulsa, Linda Blakeney of Tulsa, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jacky Mangum and wife Cathy of Marlow, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Luel was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sandra Mangum, a grandson, Brent Mangum, four brothers, and four sisters.
