Miriam Melissa Beeman, 65, of Swamp Road, Lonaconing, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born in Frostburg, on March 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Archabald Macmillan and Delsie Dora (Barnes) MacMillan.
Mrs. Beeman was a Garrett County school bus contractor, and was a member of the Georges Creek Church of the Brethren, Lonaconing, where she was very active, the Republican Central Committee, the Westernport, PTA, and the Garrett County School Bus Drivers Contractor Association.
Surviving are her husband, Albertus Leroy Beeman, Lonaconing; four sons, Steve Beeman and wife Nancy, Elkton, Va., Michael Beeman and wife Joan, Lonaconing, Ricky Beeman and wife Kathy, Lonaconing, and Terry Beeman and wife Denise, Lonaconing; one daughter, Delsie Fazenbaker and husband Richard, Westernport; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Worthy, Marietta, Ga., and Joyce Delsie Heithaus, Lonaconing; three brothers, Vincent MacMillan, Richmond, Va., Edward MacMillan, Lonaconing, and Herb MacMillan, Barton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., 8 East main St. Lonaconing, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Georges Creek Church of the Brethren, Lonaconing, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark A. Durst officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Beeman Cemetery, Garrett County, Swamp Road, Lonaconing.
She was a very loving wife, mother and mom and we loved her very, very much.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Martin, Mathew Martin, Eric Beeman, Travis Beeman, Ricky Beeman and Bobby Jacobs.
Family requests expression of sympathy take the form of memorials to the Georges Creek Church of the Brethren, Lonaconing.
