Obituaries - McCormick
James Augustus McCormick was born April 30, 1843 and died May 30, 1903. This servant of God has been sorely afflicted for many months, but in his quiet moments when he was rational, he was singing and praying, thereby proving his faith and hope in Him who is our burden bearer.

Brother McCormick joined our church when but ten years of age, and proved himself true to the church. He very quietly and peacefully passed over the dark stream, leaving a loving and attentive wife and six children to mourn their loss. He was buried in the cemetery at Centenary Methodist Church, near his home, Sunday afternoon, May 31st, to sleep till God shall wake him on that fair morn of morns.

May heaven's richest blessings attend his loved ones left behind. J. W. Bradley
