George Wentworth Aronson, age 84, of Honey Creek, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Wentworth was born November 25, 1923, in Lincoln, Neb., to George C. and Marjorie G. (White) Aronson.

He graduated from the Missouri Valley High School and then entered the Army serving in England and France. Wentworth was married to Estella A. Hansen, September 4, 1946, in Missouri Valley. He farmed in the Honey Creek area for many years. Went-worth was very active in the First Presbyterian Church, the American Legion and served on the Missouri Valley School Board for many years. He enjoyed being around people, woodworking and antique tractors.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Estella A. of Honey Creek; daughters: Linda Bowers and husband, Mark of Honey Creek; Ruth Latto and husband, John of Missouri Valley; Don Aronson and wife, Angie of Honey Creek; sister, Julie Wisecup and husband, Charlie of Missouri Valley; brother: Ronald and wife, Jan of Venice, Fla.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Services 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, First Presbyterian Church, Missouri Valley, Iowa. Final Resting Place, Branson Cemetery, Loveland, Iowa.
