"Elijah died February 1858. Elijah's probate papers showed the following individuals as administrators: Thomas ASBURY, Minter H. BAILEY, and Samuel FISHER. Burial: Probably buried in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery, Howard Co., MO

County of Howard.
The state of Missouri to all persons to whom these presents shall come Greetings.

Know ye that whereas Elijah Asbury late of the county of Howard, died in testate as it is said having at the time of his death property in this state which may be last destroyed or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the; to the end therefore that the said property may be collected preserved and disposed of according to laws, we do hereby appoint John Asbury administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits which were of the said Elijah Asbury's at the time of his death with full power and authority to secure and dispose of said property according to law, and collect all monies due said deceased, and in general to do and perform all other acts and things which are hereafter may be required of him by law.

In testimony whereas I, Andrew J Hemon, clerk of the county court and for the county of Howard aforesaid, have her cemto (?) signed my name and affixed the seal of said ceomt (?) an office this 8th day of February AD 1858. ,A J Hemon clerk,

Note: Burial this cemetery not proved, burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Higbee Mo. (which is in Randolph Co and no listing found). Elijah's family were among the founders of this Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Howard Co (where he died)
