Mary V. (Medeiros) Maynard, of Somerset, passed away Dec. 29, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Richard Maynard and the daughter of the late Frank V. and Mary (Moniz) Medeiros. Prior to retiring, Mary worked 35 years for the Somerset School Dept. as a cafeteria worker. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church, a member of its Woman's Guild, the Holy Rosary Sodality, the Am-Vets Post 72 of Somerset, and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Marianne Maynard-Manoli (husband John) of Milford, NH, Richard P. Maynard (wife Diane) of Swansea, Carole A. Maynard of Somerset, and Diane M. Berube (husband Ted) of Somerset; a brother: Alfred V. Medeiros of Somerset; grandchildren: Samantha Berube, Allison & Rachel Maynard; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank V., George V., and James S. Medeiros.
ARRANGEMENTS:
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Saturday here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
