She was baptized in the Methodist Church. She married Robert Charles Banitt on 15 Jun 1963 in Red Wing. Robert is the son of Fred Banitt and Clara Heitman. Diane died of cancer at the age of 48 on 14 Dec 1989 in either, Red Wing, or Prior Lake MN. Her funeral service was in Prior Lake, Scott Co., MN at the Methodist Church. She was to be buried in the spring in the German Methodist Church in Hay Creek, Goodhue Co. MN where her parents are buried according to her aunt Beryl Swanson. Surviving Diane were her husband, Robert, children Troy Robert Banitt and Tracy David Banitt; brothers, Robert L. (Marcia) Odman of St. Paul, MN, and David R. Odman of Red Wing; sister Priscilla A. (Robert) Haseley of Red Wing, MN.
Dianne was also survived by her father, Lewis Odman. Her mother Marian died 7 Aug 1989, just 4 1/2 months before Diane.
