Elvis Lawson, 49, of Church Hill, who would have been 50 years old on December 9, 12013 passed away on Friday at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He truly loved everybody and especially loved to give everybody a hug. He always wanted to help people.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lawson; sister, Treva Vaydak; brothers, LeRoy Lawson and Brian Lawson; niece, Faith Fink; grandparents, Rev. Sturm Lawson, Dollie Christian and Eileen Lawson.
He is survived by his children Katie Dollar and husband, David and Roy Lawson; grandchildren, Nadya Dollar and Andrew Dollar; mother, Jeanette Lawson; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
he family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Wednesday December 11, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Highway 11W, Church Hill.
A service will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
Graveside service will follow at Morning Star Church Cemetery, Church Hill. Pallbearers will be Justin Lawson, Josh Lowe, Jamie Crawford, Chad Vaydak, Austin Flynn, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be his very close friends.
