DAVENPORT - Betty L. Kester, of Davenport, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Genesis VNA, Bettendorf. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 18, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous or to the Bettendorf Public Library. Mrs. Kester was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Charles F. and Ruth A. Duffy. She married George H. Kester on October 10, 1953, in Davenport. Survivors include her husband, George; daughters, Linda S. Kester, of White Lake, Mich., and Lisa A. (Jerry) Driskell, of Park View, Iowa; sons, Stanley A. (Connie), of Davenport, and Todd G. Kester, of Rock Island; and grandsons, Jason and Dylan Kester.
