Carl Jay Earp, 58 year old Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 following an extended illness.

Carl was born in Sedan, Kansas on August 4, 1952 to John and Vivian (McClusky) Earp. Carl graduated from Jay High School in 1969. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator.

Carl was an avid hunter and fisher, loved to tinker in carpentry and also enjoyed riding horses.

Carl was preceded in death by his father John Thomas Earp and step-father Leon Scott, as well as his grandparents J.B. and Jean Earp, and Carl and Maud McClusky.
