John Hintz, 61, of Rhinelander died May 11 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born March 16, 1931, in Rhinelander. He was employed by Rhinelander Paper Co. for 36 years, until his retirement in 1982. Mr. Hintz was a past member of Zion Evangelical Church and its church council. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gray (Debra) Johnson of Rhinelander, one son, David of Rhinelander; his mother, Borghild Olson of Rhinelander; one sister, Mrs. John (Betty) Schwanz; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Natalie. Funeral services were held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. David Koch officiating. (Carlson Funeral service, Inc.)
