DALHART - Tommy R. Ames, 78, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Rodney Weatherly, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home.
Mr. Ames was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Clayton, Okla., to Morgan S. Ames and Mandy Davis Ames. He married LaNita Stone on Jan. 14, 1949.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Tommy Lee Ames of Russellville, Ark., and Dean Ames, Gary Ames and Larry Ames, all of Dalhart; two brothers, Marvin Ames and Harley Ames; a sister, Mildred Noel; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Park Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 2005, Dalhart, TX 79022.
