Date of birth is given as 1811 on death certificate. Other records put it between 1813 and 1815. This seems more likely given the age of her youngest son.

THE DEATH OF MARTHA (Brugh) McCABE
Mrs. Martha McCabe, an old and highly respected resident of this county, died on Sunday evening at five o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Jackson, in Battle Ground. Her death was caused by the infirmities of age. Her maiden name was Martha Brugh, and she was born in Virginia on Jan. 12, 1810.
She came to Indiana when she was a young girl, and lived for thirty-three years in the Conroe neighborhood She was able to do her own work up to last September, and had gone to Battle Ground to make her home with her daughter just a few days before her death.

The following children survive: Mrs. Angeline Chizum, Mrs. Margaret Jackson and Mrs. Louisa Holmes, and three sons, William, Jasper and Alonzo McCabe. Mrs. McCabe became a member of the Baptist church early in life, and remained a faithful member of the church and an earnest Christian until the close of her live. The funeral was conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the interment was made at Conroe.
