Born May 28 1941 in Grantville, Mrs. Forbus was the daughter of the late Ralph and Gloria Palmer Hines. She was a graduate of Newnan High School, had lived in Lone Oak for 41 years and retired from the Meriwether County Sheriff's office.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tony Davis of Hogansville; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Irvin O'Neal of Luthersville, Merne Posey of Columbus, Isabel Quattlebaum of Stockbridge, and Harveylene Peterson of Clinton, MS; a grandson, Brandon Wheelus of Hogansville; a niece, Miss Jenny O'Neal and a special friend, Nancy Gray. he was preceded in death by her husband, Hubbard Forbus.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Winston Skinner and Reverend Chad Hill will officiate and interment will be in the Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening.
