PFC. LEWIS KEITH MARTIN

Pfc. Lewis Keith Martin, age 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin, R. R. 11, Indianapolis, Ind. and formerly of Cambridge City, who was killed in action, World War II, in the France area, August 9, 1944, will arrive in Cambridge City, at 10:10 a.m. July 9 and will be taken to the Howard & Son Funeral Home where Military services will be held Sunday, July 11, 2 o'clock by the Lawrence Bertsch Post and Rev. Byron F. Stroh, with burial in the Jacksonburg Cemetery.
He entered service in March 1943 and was assigned to the Infantry and received his basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He had been overseas about two months.
Surviving besides the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin, his one sister, Mrs. Walter Rambo, Centerville.
Friends may call at the Howard & Son Funeral Home after noon Friday, July 9.

Lewis Keith Martin was born in Indiana and died fighting his country in World War II in France.

He was a Private with the 83rd Infantry, 330th Division, USAGF. Keith enlisted on March 24, 1943.

He attended Lincoln High School and lived on Third Street in Cambridge City. He was one of the Fightin' Third Street boys of World War II.

He is the son of Harry "Hap" Martin and Mary Martin.
