Annie Mae Black, a native of Mobile, AL was born June 21, 1931, and departed this life Aug 13, 2013 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaneil L. Black, Sr., son, Winston L. Black and sister, Maggie Jones.
She is survived by her children, Beverly Black, Cynthia Black, Darryl Black, David Black, all of Mobile, AL and Nathaneil (Diane) Black Jr. of Newport News, VA; sister, Mary Coleman, Cincinnati, OH, and brother Frank (Georgia) Coleman, Colorado springs, CO; a host of nieces, devoted, Audrey Bridges, Callie Coleman, Geralyn Stevens all of Mobile and nephews; three grandchildren, Nicole Black, (Thomas) Williams, Deja Black, all of Mobile and Francesca Black of New port News, VA; three great-grandchildren, Nyah Oliver, Taylor Williams and Jackson Nathaneil Black all of Mobile; devoted cousins, Lillie Thomas and the Sykes Family and Smith Family, devoted (sister-in-law), Lucy Black and Family all of Mobile; a host of friends, The Allens, Jean Carlton, Shirley Mosley and Dorthy Dale and family, the Weaver family and Duncan Family.
Viewing Monday Aug 19, 2013 from 12-5pm at Christian Benevolent F.H. The family will receive friends Tues, Aug 20, from 10-11am funeral hour at Bethel AME Church , 714 Savannah St., with Pastor Bobby Cox officiating.
Interment will follow in Gethsemane North Cemetery. www.christianbenevolent.com
