Catherine "Kate" Ann Birch 78 of Decatur passed away Wednesday December 12th at
Parkview Hospital. She was born on February 20, 1929 to Homer and Agnes (Baker)
Fisher in Adams County, Indiana.
Surviving is a son Kenneth E. Birch of Decatur; 2 daughters Mrs. David (Nancy)
Luginbill of Monroe, Mrs. John (Paula) Gutierrez of Paulding, Ohio; a brother
Charles Fisher of Ft. Wayne; 3 sisters Sharon Garnett of New Haven, Carolyn
Werst and Janice Meyers both of Decatur; 4 grandchidren and 9 great
grandchildren.
Preceded Kate in death are her parents, 2 brothers, a sister and 2 daughters
Pamela and Patsy.
Kate was a Homemaker but also worked outside the home for 15yrs at Two Brothers
and retired after 15yrs at C.T.S. Kate was a member of Moose Lodge WOTM Women of
the Moose, VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Visitation will be held at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home on Friday December
14th from 2-8pm. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Saturday the 15th of
December also at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the Backesto-Spring Hill Cemetery.
