Mr. Maddox had moved from Springfield to Dayton three years ago, and joined First Wesleyan Church. He was born June 24, 1882, in Flemingsburg, Ky., the son of William and Amanda (Kirk) Maddox.
Survivors include his wife Francis (Mitchell) Maddox, and a son, Norman, and grandson, Larry, of Monroe, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Martha Scott of Anderson, Ind., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Paul Berridge of First Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Park Cemetery near Beavercreek.
