Sacred to the memory of
ALPHA,
consort of Hezekiah Chaney
and daughter of Henrietta
and Nathaniel Nuckols;
who departed this life,
October 3, 1843,
In the 51st year of her age.

She had long been a zealous
member of the Methodist Epis-
opial Church, and evinced
the last unshaken faith and
confidence in her soul's salvation
through the blessed Redeemer
___________________________

O may the grave become to me,
The bed of perfect rest;
Whence I shall gladly rise at length
And mingle with the blest.
