WAYNE LEAVITT Palmyra, N.Y. - Wayne A. Leavitt, formerly of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 28, 2011, at age 61. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max V. and Marba Rose Leavitt. Wayne is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Nita; children, Aubrey (Greg) Hanning, Jessica (Matthew) Rasmussen, Grah (Julie) Leavitt and Chani Leavitt (Scott Thompson); 10 awesome grandchildren; siblings, Janice (James) Voorhies, Maxine (Steve) Whitney and Newell Leavitt; 14 nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Palmyra Ward, in New York, followed by his burial at Palmyra Cemetery. There will also be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Sloan and Alcott Chapel in Las Vegas.
