WATERBURY - Dorothy M. (Clark) (Johnson) Yashenko, 77, of Buckingham Street, died Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Keith F. Johnson and the wife of Walter Yashenko.
Mrs. Yashenko was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Berlin, daughter of the late Harry J. and Dorothy May (Higgins) Clark. She lived in Oakville for the past 10 years. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. She owned and operated the former Waterbury Rest Home. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves five daughters, Judith Ann Rebimbas and Dorothy May Demers, both of Waterbury, Shirley Impresa of Ocala, Fla., Isabell Daddona of Bethlehem and Cathy LaBrecque of Canton; a brother, Arthur Clark of Waterbury; five sisters, Catherine Marron of California, June Summa of Southbury, Elizabeth Evers of Oregon, Betty Ciresi of Prospect and Gail Caggiano of Florida; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Keith F. Johnson Jr., and two brothers, Harry and James Clark, are deceased.
Arrangements: Funeral 8:45 a.m. Saturday from O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville, to St. Leo the Great Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
