This newborn was the son of Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Gooble and Georgia Ann (Smith) Gooble. They moved from Greene County, Arkansas (Marmaduke), and farmed in the Sumach/Holcomb area north of Kennett, MO. They had 8 children in Arkansas, and some of the children attended school at Sumach, MO. Georgia Gooble died less than a month after giving birth (Oct 11, 1917)and was buried with others of the Smith family at Cudd Cemetery at Marmaduke, AR.
(The Goebel name has various spellings: Gobel, Goble, Goebel, Gooble, etc.)
