Mamie Lucille Adams, 6, of Huntsville died Thursday in Arab. Mamie was enrolled in first grade at Grace Lutheran Church. She battled with cancer for two years. Her last year in this life is chronicled at www.caringbridge.org/al/mamieadams. She attended the Bicentennial Chapel on Redstone Arsenal and New Canaan Baptist Church in Arab. Her dream was to be a veterinarian when she grew up and was awarded an honorary veterinarian degree from Auburn University. Survivors include her parents, George and Debra Adams; grandparents, John and Lucile Adams of New Lexington, Ohio, and Emrie and Ora Lee Morrow of Arab. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with Chaplain John Penney, Chaplain Joey Byrd and the Rev. Jerry Burgett officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Arab. Memorials may be made to, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Camp Smile-A-Mile.
