Anna Krum
Anna M. Krum, 85, a longtime Mystic resident, died in St. Joseph Hospital, Centerville, Tuesday, March 28, 1978 She had been a patient there the past four days, and seriously ill the past year.
Born December 4, 1891, in Brazil, she was the daughter of Robert and Catherine Lloyd Medland. She was married to Earl Krum in 1912, and he preceded her in death in 1971. She had attended the Christian Church in Mystic.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Sam Krum, two infant sons, four brothers, Sam, John, Dick, and Joe Medland; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Emily.
Surviving are three daughters, Katherine Moorman, Mystic; Marie Brown, Tina, Mo.; and AnnaBelle VanDyne, Allerton; four sons, Elmer, Exline; Clyde, Mystic; Jack, Davenport; and Earl, Kansas City; two sisters, Marie Leaf, Long View, Wash.; and Margaret Stewart, Brazil, 39 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at Miller-Wehrle Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Mystic. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to St. Joseph Hospital building fund.
