Mr. Keith A. Smith, 17, of Poolesville, died Sunday, April 8, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Poolesville.
Born Aug. 22, 1982, in Maryland, he was the son of Ernest J. Sr. and Darlene Mills Smith of Poolesville.
Keith played football for three years at Poolesville High School and baseball for UMAC for seven years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ernest Smith Jr. and wife Priscilla of Frederick; a sister, Kimberly A. Parise and husband James II of Boyds; his grandparents, Elsie Malone of Boyds, and Ruth and William Mills of Westover; two nieces and two nephews, Amber Parise and James Parise III, Elizabeth Parise and Austin Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty Barnhouse and Kenneth Malone Sr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Poolesville Memorial United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 17821 Elgin Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Poolesville Baptist Church, 17550 W. Willard Road.
Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
Arrangements are being handled by Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville.
