A funeral service was conducted Tuesday in the Walter E. Baird and Sons Funeral Home in Wayland for LaVern L. Acker, 66, of Tabors Corners Rd., East Springwater.
Mr. Acker died Saturday (May 14, 1977) in his home following a long illness.
He was a native of Conesus and had been a longtime resident of the Springwater area. He had been engaged in farming all his life.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy May Acker; two sons, Donald Richard Acker and Robert Gerald Acker both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Straight of Springwater.
Burial was in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. (GCE, May 19, 1977, p4)
