WALTON — Jean C. Combs, 82, a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away Tuesday evening, April 11, 2006, at Countryside Care Center, Delhi.
Jean was born in Walton, the daughter of the late Arthur and LaGretta Chapman Crawshaw, on Feb. 13, 1924. She was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1942.
She was married to the late Walter Richard Combs.
Jean was a bookkeeper employed by Antenna Systems/Time Warner, Walton. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church, Walton. She also was a participant of the Delaware County Senior Dining Program.
Jean is survived by one son, Scott and Jessica Combs of Charleston, S.C.; a granddaughter, Ashley Combs, and a special friend, Kathy Shelton of Walton.
She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey A. Combs.
A graveside service, under the direction of Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton, will take place in Walton Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, with the Rev. Jennifer Matison Juliano officiating.
