Grew up in Oroville, Washington with her mother, father, older brother and younger sister. The family was quite poor, but Kay was feisty & spirited and didn't let lack of money stop her from living life to the fullest.
She became a nurse and lived and worked in Sacramento, CA. Later in life she fought numerous bouts of Cancer and suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Near the end of her life, she moved to Seattle, WA to live with her granddaughter.

Laurence Earl Bartell 3-4-1941 (they had one son, Earl)
Carl Hugh Derring 12-29-1961
James Vern Duggan 8-10-1984
