Everett Collins married Marie R. Lasher on February 3, 1943.

ALTON - Everett J. Collins, 70, of Route 14, Alton, died Thursday (May 27) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Burial will be in Alton Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Osnabrock Center, Canada, son of Thomas and Laura Alguire Collins. Mr. and Mrs. Collins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 3.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army 9th Infantry Division in the European Theater.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Lasher Collins; one daughter, Nancy M. Collins of Lyons; one son Lonnie Collins of Alton; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Anna) Wilcox and Mrs. Leila Faas and Mrs. Jean Davis, all of Alton; two brothers, Clayton of Bowling Green, Ky., and Roy of Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews.
