Larry L Sanchez Sr was born on 7 Jan 1949 and passed away on 29 Sep 1999 at the age of 50. Larry is a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Larry was a family man first and foremost. His life revolved around raising and taking care of his family. One of the favorite things he did was to give all of his children nicknames. Of course, these nicknames will not be in the bio because they are private and only used around family. That was one way you could know how close you were to him and his family because you had the privilege of being able to call his children by their nicknames. You also may accidently give one of the children a nickname.

Larry was a patriotic man and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and achieved the rank of CPL. After he finished his time in the Marines he enlisted in the U.S Army where he achieved the rank of SSG. Larry also retired from the Army. The service has a way of putting people together and forming a very close bond. The Army is where I met Larry. While walking through the Motor Pool (a place where tanks are kept) I spotted a man that was throwing snatch blocks over the fence with one hand. (A snatch block weighs around 80 LBS) The brilliant thought came to me that this would be a person to get to know and to become friends with. I didn't know just how close we were going to become. We became almost closer than brothers. After that day we became fishing buddies. We fished as much as we could. One of our favorite sayings was "Quarter for the first one". One of the things I remember about our fishing trips was the time we carried a boat 3 miles around and down a hill just to get to a spot we wanted to fish at. A month later we found that we could get to the same spot by going through a canal that attached to another lake we fished at all the time.

When Larry passed on he left behind his Wife, five Daughters, a Son, and several Grand Children.

Larry Sanchez is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, which is located in Michigan City, IN.

Husband, Father, Grandpa, Friend.
You are missed…..
