Frank Kirby, spelled Kerby on the census record, is 55 his new wife Mary A is 29 (another error if she was 29 in 1867 when she married Frank Kirby). His second wife, Mary, carries the same first name as his first wife Mary Cowan and this makes record tracking a bit confusing. Frank and Mary are on one page and the rest of the family continues on the following page and it is believed that the enumerator mistakingly gives them a new household number due to the age of the oldest Kirby boys still living in the household. Reuben Kirby is 24, Samuel is 22, Nancy (Lizzie) is 15, Tempy Jane is 14, Cowan is 12, Francis M Jr is 10 and Joshua is 7.
