William Reece Allen of 2607 Malcolm St. died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Willis-Knighton Hospital after a long illness. He was 82.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Park West Cemetery under direction of the South Side Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Masonic graveside services will be observed.
The Rev. Leland D. Wade, pastor of Lakeview United Methodist Church, will officiate.
A native of Noble, Mr. Allen had lived in Shreveport 60 years. He was retired as an engine mechanic for Penzoil and was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church and the Queensborough Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Allen; two daughters, Mrs. T. R. Sanders and Lucille Fincher, both of Shreveport; four sisters, Katherine Anderson, Orean Aaron, Earlean Webb and Mahalia Webb; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
