Valley City - Kenneth Altringer, 19, Valley City, was fatally injured in a one-car accident near here Wednesday night. He died in a local hospital early this morning.
Two companions, the 14 year old driver of the car, Leslie Rietze, and Dean Radke, 13, both of Valley City, are hospitalized. A fourth youth, Michael Kopp, 15, also of Valley City, was not injured.
Sheriff Martin Haugen and State Patrolman Ted Hedstrom said the accident occurred on a curve on a county road leading to Ashtabula bridge, 18 miles north of here, Sheriff Haugen said young Rietze apparently lost control of the car in loose gravel. It rolled over several times.
The boys were enroute home from roller skating at a Lake Ashtabula resort about 11 am.
Altringer is the son of Mrs Grace Altringer of Valley City.
