ERIE, Kan. -- Mildred Tays, 87, died Saturday at Labett County Medical Center in Parsons, Kan. She was a retired employee of Sears, Roebuck & Co. She was a member of Erie Federated Church, the Monday Study Club, the Tuesday Pleasant Hour Club, the Blue Bag Bridge Club and the Older Americans Center in Erie. She was the widow of Henry Clyde Tays.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie, Kan. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Booneville Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Hoffman officiating. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Burress of Erie; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Erie Federated Church in care of Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, Erie, Kan.
