Margaret Bodkins Lantz, a resident of Meade Street, Buckhannon, departed this life Friday evening, July 27, 2007, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. She was 83.
Margaret was born Friday, March 28, 1924, at Bemis, a daughter of the late James Edward Bodkins and Attie Alice White Bodkins.
On Sept. 7, 1944, Margaret married Leonard Lee Lantz, who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1997.
She is survived bythree sons, Dana L. Lantz and wife, Carmel, and Steven L. Lantz and wife, Carmel, all of Buckhannon and Donald A. Lantz of Valley Head; three daughters, Kay Hollen and husband, Pete, and Bonita "Bonnie" Spencer and husband, Roger, all of Buckhannon, and Brenda Futten and husband, Bill, of Fairmont; two brothers, Joe Bodkins of Valley Head and Harold Bodkins of Beaufort, S.C.; four sisters, Hallie Fedowich of Westbury, Long Island, N.Y., Carrie Thompson of Elkins, Mary Couch of Sarasota, Fla., and Sharon Bodkins of Appling, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, Chad, Amy, Eric, Evan, Alainna, Julia, Jay, Brian, Aaron, Brianna, Joey, and Natalie; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Chase, Spencer, Ava, Brian, Cailey, Jared and Maddie; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Sebert, Eugene and Wilmoth Bodkins; and three sisters, Virginia Arbogast, Opal Channel, and Edith Bodkins.
She attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker.
