Barbara H. Benjamin
Barbara Hopkins Benjamin, 64, of 312 Clover Road, Ridgeway, died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Martinsville on Aug. 21, 1942, to Pearl Hunley Hood and the late Buster Hopkins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Leigh Benjamin.
She had retired from American Furniture Company with 30 years of service, and she was a member of the Ridgeway Church of God.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are a son, Brian Michael Benjamin of Ridgeway; two sisters, Barbara Ann Lowe of Tacoma, Wash. and Jo Ann Hopkins of Canada; and a brother, Robert Hopkins of Canada.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Ridgeway Church of God.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church with Minister Kenny Daniel and the Rev. Jimmy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
Community Funeral Services, Ridgeway, is in charge of arrangements.
