Mrs. Nellie Ruth Agan, age 70, Silver Creek, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Agan was born in Rome, Georgia on March 2, 1941, daughter of the late Henry Grady Brooks, Sr. and the late Annie Mae Wood Collins. She was also preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Mrs. Agan was a member of the Liberty View Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she worked for Engineered Fabrics in Rockmart.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Agan, to whom she was married on March 17, 2007; a daughter, Mrs. Stacey Turner, and her husband, Micah, Cartersville; 2 sons, George Chambers, Calhoun, and Richard Chambers, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Forrest & Savanna Turner, Amanda, Sean, Lucas, and Christopher Chambers; 1 great grandson, Hunter Chambers; 2 sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Breeden, Rome, and Mrs. Marie Chambers, Tifton; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ladell Jacobs and the Rev. Andy Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday at 1:30pm and include: Lucas Chambers, Chris Chambers, Forrest Turner, Micah Turner, Mark Chambers, and Harold Chambers.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
