|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located in Huntington Township.
This family cemetery is on private property, however the cemetery is not deeded with the farm where it resides. The cemetery is in great need of tending. The family who owns the property surrounding the cemetery is willing to allow family member access to maintain it. Please let me know if you are willing to help. I'd like to coordinate with the family so that they don't have a ton of people contacting them directly, they wish to remain private.
The large stone home mentioned in the earlier definition of the cemetery is no long standing, it apparently burnt down long ago. Access to the cemetery is off of Martin Hill Road, up an extremely long private driveway. It is in the middle of a beautiful farm.
"This family cemetery is located off Martin Hill Road, across a creek (might be Rattlesnake creek - through a covered bridge) and is on what is 'now' known as Carlos Adams', Sr. farm. This hill cemetery has a lovely view of the country side. The colonial stone house is still inhabited. The cemetery and stones are in a deplorable condition. The trees have broken and knocked down nearly all the stones and obviously the grounds were neglected for many years."
As of March 1963.
