|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Brownville Pentecostal Church is not only a center of congregational worship in the small community of Brownville, but is also the center for an integrated Outreach Program for Children and Young Adults for the entire area of Conecuh County northeast of Evergreen. The church serves the community regardless of religious belief and its associated cemetery is open to any who wish to make this location a final resting place.
To reach this place from Interstate-65, leave I-65 at Exit 101 and turn onto CR-22 east. Shortly after turning onto CR-22 one finds a 4-way stop at the crossing of CR-22 and CR-29. The first landmark will be the Olive Branch Church and Cemetery, and second will be the Flat Rock water tower and volunteer fire/rescue. Stay on CR-22 (CR = County Road and is also known as Brownville Road) to the community of Brownville. The first church and cemetery will be the Brownville United Methodist. At less than ¼ mile east will be the Brownville Pentecostal Church and Cemetery. The highway sign reads Brownville Outreach, but also advertises the time for which worship services are held. The cemetery and church building are on the right.
If traveling from Evergreen, stay on Hwy-31/83 to the city limit. Within ½ mile beyond the city limit of Evergreen will be CR-77 and then another mile or so will be CR-22. Turn left here and proceed to the community of Brownville.
