AKA as Rhode Island Historical Cemetery CR063
In use from 1940 through 1952, further burials for indigents took place at the North Burial Ground, Providence, RI.
Formerly located on east side of Pontiac Ave. Removed to RI Historical CR061 (State Institution No. 2) by the Howard Industrial Complex - RI Dept. Of Economic Development in June of 1975.
The remains of 577 persons were moved and buried in a mass grave, the memorial to this action is located at RI Historical CR061. (State Institution No. 2)
I've chosen to list them here as it was their original burial place. They have not been re-listed in their current mass grave.
