Additional inscriptions to May 2, 1998 were copied by Mrs. Helen Mae Chappell. A copy of the records for this cemetery was obtained from Mrs. Helen Mae Chappell on Aug. 9, 1998.
Records from the Polk County Cemetery Directory published by the Polk County Genealogy Society.
NOTE:My wife and I visited this cemetery on April 14, 2011. What you see in the picture we took of the cemetery is pretty much what is left of the decent stones there. We never found her ancestor Adam Zumwalt's stone...and many of the others who were buried there. The map should be accurate after I entered the GPS coordinates.
To get to the cemetery from highway 64 turn left on 198th. You will come to a point were the road forks. Take the left fork. The road ends at a fairly nice abandoned house. Drive behind it and you will see a stand of 3 or 4 trees about 500 yards from the house. The cemetery is in those trees.
